Spring Top Ten

I think spring has finally come! I am so ready for it. Here is the list of the top ten reasons why I am thrilled that spring has sprung:

10. The beautiful flowering tree in my front yard.

9. The smell of freshly-cut lawns on Saturday mornings.

8.
Going to the Ram's Head and eating a crab cake sandwich on the terrace.

7.
Wearing fun strappy sandals.

6. Taking my kids to the park where they can jump and be loud without getting on my nerves.

5. A steady supply of Popsicles/ice cream in my freezer and strawberries in my fridge.

4. Dinner on the grill several nights a week!

3.
The anticipation of my first pedicure of the season!

2. Sitting in my camp chair watching Mason play baseball.

And the number one reason why I am giddy that the weather is turning warmer is...

Children wearing sandals and decreasing the amount of "whites" in my laundry by up to 28 pairs of socks a week! Wa-hoo!

Oh, I look forward to the day when I don't have jackets all over my entranceway. And amen to no more socks. While your idea of lounging in a chair watching baseball sounds like a nice dream, my reality was sitting in the chair watching the game while my girls cried that they were bored, were hungry, wanted to go to park, and basically drove me nuts for two hours. Hope your version of spring happens for you.

I hear you on the socks! How I love sandals. 4 less things to find every morning.

Oh, this list just made me FEEL the warmth and wonderfulness of good weather. It's particularly important with kids. Jeff called today to tell me that the humidity is knocking him out. He told me, "I thought it was at least 85 degrees, I was just so hot, and then I saw it was 72." A crabcake on the terrace sounds really lovely right now.

I hate spring.....spring means that soon it will be summer. Summer is pure misery here. I do like the sock decline however. :)

I think I can probably just do a load of laundry with just socks in it....It makes me so sad!! I love spring and those are all very great reasons why, especailly the smell of fresh cut lawns. Nothing beter then warm sunny days!

You're so cute! I'm actually trying to hold off spring since that means summer is coming, and that means HOT weather--my kids get stuck inside for the summer, though I can't complain because the rest of the year is beautiful here!

I'm so excited Melodie told me about your blog! Now I can read all about your life and I guess you can read about mine too! We're still planning a trip to DC, I'll update you on that later.
