The Perfect Storm

Last night, after being at church for over 10 hours yesterday, my dearly beloved informed me that this week he has church meetings/assignments/activities Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. It's the unbelievable compilation of weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual and rescheduled meetings all coming together in the same calendar week. He asked if I'd still love him. I assured him that yes, I would, as long as I can still remember who he is when the week is over!

That's crazy...i've often wondered which comes first, family or church! I would still love my husband after that week...but I don't know if I would be too happy with church...did I say that?

If you want some company, my darling husband will also be gone most of those nights!

Okay, Bri and I also had a little talk about this last night too! He is going to be gone every evening except Friday and Monday. I about cried when I heard that! I really don't like doing bed time without him. Do we have to have so many meetings? Especially the ones that don't accomplish much ):
Boo hoo for me huh? I can't imagine what it would be like to have your husband in the Bishopric!

DUDE. Those weeks are SO rough! I heart you. I remember when Clint was in the stake mission presidency and I had two kids and he was in grad school (oh wait, we're STILL in grad school...) and it was really hard. I hope it goes by fast!

We had a week like this a few weeks ago, though it was actually Jeff who had to put the kids to bed alone. It was just like you, Mendy. A perfect storm. I know that nobody really intended to make that one week so busy. But I'm with Brenda, do we really have to have so many meetings?! Especially ones that don't accomplish much!?! (We are having a rebroadcast of the training seminar that we already went to, but because some people didn't come we're all supposed to go again this Wednesday. Nuh uh!)

I feel your pain, friend.

I hope you know how much we appreciate the sacrifice your whole family makes for our ward. You are wonderful, and I am sure it is so hard. Thank you so much.
