How you know it's hotter than @$*# in your own home

Just in case the fact that your AC is out on a weekend where the heat index is reported to reach 110 degrees doesn't clue you in, and you didn't get a clue from the thermometer in your house that reads 90 degrees, if your smoke alarms start screeching from no other causes than the heat and humidity of the air in your house THAT'S how you know that's it's hotter than *@&$ in your own home.

Why are we not headed to a hotel? I have no idea. I'm minutes away from abandoning ship, let me tell you...

you are all more than welcome to come and crowd around my window AC in my bedroom. I was considering making a fort with the only opening for the AC to blow into...

That is hot. I know you're miserable when you're using foul language on your blog :) You know my doors are always open, as long as you bring cookies.

Trace, there is no way my oven is getting turned on until the AC is fixed. Even I have my baking limits.

Oh no. That is terrible. I would have abandoned ship. Our electricity went out Saturday night, and BGE said it may take until 10:30 pm Sunday. I was totally going to a hotel if it did not come on before that. It did, and we were so glad.

Oh dear. Come sleep at my house! My AC is leaking and could stop working at any moment, but for now we're cool. And I thought it was too hot to sleep in my top floor!!! I hope it is fixed now.

You could have just stayed at church - keep pressing that little button on the thermostat in the Relief Society Room and you'd be fine!

By the way...didn't you have AC trouble last year? What are these experiences trying to prepare you for? Maybe you're destined to move to Texas, by us, where it is in the 90's and super humid all time and no one bothers to mention it in the nation news the way they do for you people. Of course, our AC is working, so who am I to complain?
